Physiotherapy Treatment Of Neck Pain
Neck pain is caused by trauma to discs, joints, muscles and ligaments. Common causes of injury are acute trauma and poor prolonged head forward ‘poking’ posture whilst sitting at the computer.
C5/6 Disc protrusion is a common injury occurring predominantly in the 20–45 year age group. Pain is felt over the neck, shoulder blade and down the arm. Pain is made worse by sustained forward postures at work, worsening at night and often disturbing sleep.
